Renese-R combines two blood pressure lowering medicines: polythiazide (a water pill) and reserpine (which relaxes blood vessels). Both already work to bring your blood pressure down, so anything else that nudges it lower can stack on top of them.

Here's the honest picture with horny goat weed. In lab and animal studies, this herb seemed to lower blood pressure too, but that effect has not actually been seen in people. So the concern is mostly theoretical. Still, if blood pressure dropped too far, you could feel dizzy, lightheaded, weak, or faint, especially standing up. I wouldn't panic over this, but since it's an unstudied supplement, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.
