In vitro research and animal research shows that horny goat weed can inhibit platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the short version: tenecteplase (TNKase) is a powerful clot-busting drug given in the hospital, usually for a heart attack. Its whole job is to break down clots, so bleeding is already its biggest risk. Horny goat weed, in lab and animal studies, seems to make platelets a little less sticky, which could in theory add to that bleeding risk.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This effect has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never reported in people, so it's a theoretical concern, not a proven one. Still, given how serious tenecteplase is, it's worth telling your care team about any supplement you take. Don't start or stop anything on your own. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor.
