Iron + Levodopa
Levodopa brand names: Larodopa, Inbrija.
Iron has a moderate interaction with Levodopa. Iron might decrease levodopa levels by reducing its absorption.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
LEVODOPA
Advise patients to separate doses of levodopa and iron as much as possible. There is some evidence in healthy people that iron forms chelates with levodopa, reducing the amount of levodopa absorbed by around 50%. The clinical significance of this hasn't been determined.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the gist for your Parkinson's medicine: iron and levodopa don't play well together in your gut. When you take them at the same time, the iron can bind onto the levodopa and form a clump your body can't absorb well. In studies with healthy folks, this cut levodopa absorption by roughly half. Less levodopa getting in can mean weaker symptom control, so you might notice more stiffness, tremor, slowness, or more frequent off episodes.
The good news is this is easy to manage. The usual advice is to space the two doses apart by a few hours rather than swallowing them together. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything, especially since the long-term clinical impact isn't fully pinned down.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Levodopa page
“Parkinson symptoms return fast when levodopa (Larodopa, Inbrija) stops reaching the brain, and most of the 41 supplements on this page can make that happen, so treat these combinations with genuine care. Protein and amino acid supplements compete with levodopa for transport into the brain, while everyday minerals like magnesium and iro…”

About Iron
What is Iron?
- Iron-deficiency anemia
- Low iron stores during pregnancy
- Fatigue from iron deficiency
- Heavy menstrual blood loss
- Restless legs syndrome (with low iron)
Iron is an essential mineral your body needs to make hemoglobin and carry oxygen in the blood. Supplements are mainly useful for treating or preventing iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia, ideally after a blood test confirms you are low. Because too much iron can be harmful, take it only when needed and under the guidance of a pharmacist or doctor.
About Levodopa Oral Inhalation
What Is Levodopa Oral Inhalation Used For?
Brand names: Larodopa, Inbrija
Inbrija is used to treat OFF episodes in adults with Parkinson's disease. An OFF episode is when your regular oral carbidopa/levodopa medication temporarily stops working well enough, causing Parkinson's symptoms — such as stiffness, slowness, or tremor — to return.
Inbrija is used as needed when OFF symptoms start to come back. It is not a replacement for your regular oral carbidopa/levodopa; it works alongside it.

Levodopa Is Linked to Lower Levels of 2 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Levodopa as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Iron — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
