Esomeprazole, Naproxen falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Khella interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might result in increased photosensitivity. Khella constituents can cause photosensitivity. Some drugs that cause photosensitivity include amitriptyline (Elavil), quinolones (Ciprofloxacin, others), sulfa drugs (Septra, Bactrim, others), and tetracycline.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Vimovo (which combines naproxen and esomeprazole) and khella. This isn't about how your body breaks down the medicine or how strong it works. It's a skin issue. Khella naturally contains compounds (khellin and visnagin) that can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, and naproxen can do the same thing on its own. Stack them together and you may sunburn faster or more severely than you'd expect.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern backed mostly by anecdotal reports, not strong studies. Still, it's easy to play it safe: wear sunscreen, cover up, and limit strong sun. If you plan to use khella, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
