While it has a long history in traditional medicine, there is no reliable evidence that taking the whole herb is safe or effective, and it should not be self-administered.

Vizimpro (dacomitinib) is used as a first-line treatment for adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — meaning lung cancer that has spread — when the tumor carries a specific genetic change in the EGFR gene (an exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R substitution mutation). Before starting, your tumor must be tested with an FDA-approved test to confirm one of these mutations is present.
