This combo pill already has two ingredients that calm down your brain and nervous system: butalbital (a barbiturate) and codeine (an opioid). Both can make you drowsy, foggy, or slow on their own. Motherwort has been reported to add its own mild sedating, calming effect, so taking the two together could theoretically stack that drowsiness on top.

In real life, that might mean feeling extra sleepy, lightheaded, or slow to react, which matters for driving or anything that needs focus. I'll be honest, this concern is based on how these things work rather than strong human studies, so it's more of a caution than a sure thing. Still, since codeine and butalbital are nothing to take lightly, check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them with motherwort.
