Limbitrol DS combines two medicines that already calm the nervous system: amitriptyline (a tricyclic antidepressant) and chlordiazepoxide (a benzodiazepine). Both are well known for causing drowsiness. The concern here is simple stacking. Motherwort has been reported to have its own mild sedating, calming effect, so layering it on top could leave you feeling extra sleepy, foggy, dizzy, or slow to react. That matters most when driving or going about your day.

I'll be honest with you: this is a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not strong human studies, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, since you're already on two sedating drugs, please run motherwort past your pharmacist or doctor before starting it.
