Naproxen, Sumatriptan falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Onion interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs with onion might increase the risk of bleeding.

Treximet combines naproxen (an NSAID pain reliever) with sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). The piece that matters here is the naproxen part. Like other NSAIDs, naproxen already makes your platelets a little less sticky, so it can raise the chance of bleeding on its own, including stomach irritation or bruising.

Onion, in lab studies, also seems to make platelets clump together a bit less. So in theory, stacking concentrated onion supplements on top of naproxen could nudge your bleeding risk up slightly. I want to be honest though: this is theoretical, based on test-tube work, not real patient cases. Onion on your sandwich or in your cooking is no concern. If you're thinking about high-dose onion capsules, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
