Dextromethorphan, Methscopolamine, Phenylephrine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Peyote interacts with.

Concomitant use of peyote with stimulant drugs may increase the risk of adverse CNS effects. Some CNS stimulants include nicotine, cocaine, sympathomimetic amines, and amphetamines.

This combo product is a good example of why mixing peyote in here is risky. The phenylephrine piece is a stimulant-type decongestant, and peyote (through mescaline) revs up serotonin signaling in the brain. Put them together and you can stack stimulating, heart-racing effects: a pounding or fast heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and in a bad case agitation or confusion.

On top of that, dextromethorphan also nudges serotonin, so layering it with mescaline adds a small extra worry for too much serotonin activity. To be honest, this warning is based on how these drugs work rather than firm studies, but the direction is clear enough that I would steer well clear. Peyote is also a controlled substance, not a supplement. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything like this.
