B & O Supprettes combine belladonna and opium, and the opium part is a true narcotic that already makes many people drowsy, foggy, or slow to breathe. The concern here is simple: Phellodendron may add a little extra calming, sleepy effect on top of that. Stacked together, you could feel more tired, dizzy, or lightheaded than you expect.

I want to be honest about the strength of this one. It is theoretical, based mostly on animal studies of berberine (a compound in phellodendron), not solid human data. So I am not ringing alarm bells. Still, because opium already slows the brain, it is worth mentioning the combo to your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you also take other sedating medicines.
