Your Premique contains conjugated estrogens plus a progestin, usually prescribed for menopause symptoms. Here's the connection: pregnenolone is an early building block your body can convert into other hormones, including estrogen. So in theory, adding it on top of your estrogen could nudge your overall estrogen activity a little higher.

I want to be honest that this concern is theoretical, based on how these hormones work rather than real-world studies. If it did matter, you might notice more estrogen-type effects like breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, headaches, or spotting. Since you're already on hormone therapy, I'd skip adding another hormone supplement unless your doctor or pharmacist okays it. It's an easy conversation to have at your next visit.

Premique combines an estrogen with the progestin medroxyprogesterone. Here's the thinking behind this one: your body can turn pregnenolone into other steroid hormones, including progesterone-like ones. So in theory, adding pregnenolone on top of your hormone therapy could nudge the progestin side of things a little higher than intended.

I want to be honest with you though, this is a theoretical concern based on how these hormones are built, not on real studies in people taking both. If it did add up, you might notice more of the usual progestin-type effects like bloating, breast tenderness, mood changes, or spotting. Because we're dealing with hormones, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding pregnenolone rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.
