Aminosalicylate Sodium falls under AMINOSALICYLIC ACID — the group Procaine interacts with.

A metabolite of procaine, aminobenzoic acid, can antagonize the effect of aminosalicylic acid. Theoretically, procaine might also reduce aminosalicylic activity.

Here's the gist of it. When your body breaks down procaine (the numbing agent), one of the leftover pieces is a compound called PABA (aminobenzoic acid). On paper, PABA can interfere with how aminosalicylate sodium (Tubasal) does its job. So pairing the two could, in theory, make your TB medication work a little less effectively, which is the last thing you want when you're trying to clear an infection.

Now, I want to be straight with you: this is a theoretical concern based on how these chemicals behave, not something proven in real patients. A single dental shot of Novocaine is very different from regularly using a procaine-based 'anti-aging' product. Either way, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up before mixing them so they can keep an eye on things.
