Here's the gist for Calquence (acalabrutinib). Your body uses a kind of cellular bouncer called P-glycoprotein to push some of this drug back out and keep its levels in check. Lab studies suggest Rabdosia rubescens can dial down that bouncer's activity. If that happened in a real person, more acalabrutinib could stay in the body, which may mean stronger effects and a higher chance of side effects like bruising, bleeding, headaches, low blood counts, or infections.
Now the honest part: this concern comes only from test-tube research, not from people, so we genuinely don't know how much it matters in real life. Acalabrutinib is a serious cancer medicine, so please don't add this herb on your own. Run it by your oncologist or pharmacist first.

Here's the concern with pairing this herb and Calquence (acalabrutinib). Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down acalabrutinib, and lab research suggests oridonin, a compound in Rabdosia rubescens, may speed that enzyme up. If that happened in people, your body could clear the drug faster, leaving lower levels in your blood. For a cancer medicine like this, weaker levels could mean it doesn't control your lymphoma or leukemia as well as it should.
I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is, though. It comes only from test-tube and animal studies, and it has never actually been reported in a real patient. Still, because this is a serious cancer drug, I'd play it safe and check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding this supplement.

What Is Acalabrutinib Used For?
Brand name: Calquence
Calquence is used to treat adults with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) — either newly diagnosed (in combination with bendamustine and rituximab, for patients who are not candidates for a stem cell transplant) or previously treated (after at least one prior therapy). It is also used to treat adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL).
Both the capsule and tablet forms of Calquence are approved for all three of these uses. The specific combination regimen and treatment schedule depend on the condition being treated and what other medicines are used alongside it — your care team will map that out for you.
