STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Carbinoxamine, Pseudoephedrine
Carbinoxamine, Pseudoephedrine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.
Rauwolscine has demonstrated stimulant effects in animal research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The product you're asking about pairs an antihistamine (carbinoxamine) with a decongestant (pseudoephedrine). The pseudoephedrine part is the one that matters here. It's a stimulant that revs up your system, and rauwolscine works as a stimulant too. So the concern is simple stacking: two stimulating ingredients adding their effects together.
Realistically, that could mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious or restless. I'll be honest with you, though: this interaction is rated theoretical and is based mainly on animal research, not solid human studies. That doesn't make it a sure thing, but the caution makes sense, especially if you have heart issues or high blood pressure. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Carbinoxamine, Pseudoephedrine page
“Ephedra is the supplement I would rule out first for anyone taking carbinoxamine with pseudoephedrine (Rondec, Carbiset). It carries its own ephedrine-like stimulants, and stacking those on a decongestant that already raises heart rate and blood pressure invites real cardiovascular trouble.”
