These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Rauwolscine interacts with whole categories of medication. Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Phenylephrine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Rauwolscine in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Phenylephrine
Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Phenylephrine falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.
In animal research, intraperitoneal rauwolscine lowered the seizure threshold level of the drug metrazol.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. This combination product contains chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine), methscopolamine, and phenylephrine (a decongestant). The concern with adding rauwolscine isn't about how your body breaks these drugs down. It's about the seizure threshold, meaning how easily a seizure could be triggered. In animal studies, rauwolscine made it slightly easier for a seizure to start, and antihistamines like chlorpheniramine can do the same in higher doses.
This is very theoretical and comes only from lab and animal data, so I don't want to alarm you. For most people it won't be an issue. But because rauwolscine is also a stimulant that can raise your heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety, stacking it with a decongestant like phenylephrine could leave you feeling jittery or wired. Please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

STIMULANT DRUGS
2 of 2Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Phenylephrine also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.
Rauwolscine has demonstrated stimulant effects in animal research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The piece in this combo product that matters most here is phenylephrine, a decongestant that works by tightening blood vessels, which can nudge up your blood pressure and heart rate. Rauwolscine is a stimulant that may boost your body's own adrenaline-type signals. Stack the two together and those stimulant effects can add up, so you might notice a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, anxiety, trouble sleeping, or higher blood pressure.
I'll be honest with you: this caution comes mostly from lab and animal studies, so it's more theoretical than proven in people. None of these ingredients is a prodrug, so the worry is simply two stimulants pushing in the same direction. If you have any heart or blood pressure concerns, please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
