Diatrizoate sodium (Hypaque) is a contrast dye used during certain X-ray and imaging studies. It isn't a medicine you take long-term, but it's grouped with drugs that can slightly lower the seizure threshold, meaning the brain may become a little more prone to seizures, especially during a procedure.

The worry here is mostly theoretical. In animal lab work, rauwolscine lowered the seizure threshold, so on paper, combining it with a contrast agent like diatrizoate could nudge that risk a bit higher. There's no solid human evidence for this pairing, so I wouldn't panic. Still, since rauwolscine is a stimulant that revs up the body, it's smart to mention any supplements to the team before any imaging study with contrast.
