Here's the gist with this combo. Fentanyl is a powerful opioid pain medication. On its own, opioids like fentanyl can lower your body's seizure threshold a little, meaning they can make seizures slightly more likely in people who are prone to them. Rauwolscine, a stimulant found in fat-burner and pre-workout supplements, may also nudge that threshold down. Stacking the two together could, in theory, add up and raise the chance of a seizure.

I want to be honest about how thin the evidence is here. This concern comes from animal research only, not from people, so it's mostly theoretical. Still, fentanyl is serious medicine, and rauwolscine can raise heart rate and blood pressure too. Please run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Theoretically, rauwolscine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the honest picture for fentanyl. The concern on file is that rauwolscine, which is chemically similar to yohimbine, might block an enzyme called CYP2D6 that helps clear certain drugs. In theory, blocking it could let those drugs build up. But it's worth knowing that fentanyl is mostly broken down by a different enzyme (CYP3A4), not so much CYP2D6, so this particular interaction may matter very little for fentanyl in practice.

That said, fentanyl is a powerful opioid, and even small increases in its level can cause heavy sedation, slowed breathing, and dangerously low blood pressure. Since this is only a theoretical, lab-based concern, I wouldn't panic, but please run this combination by your doctor or pharmacist before mixing them.
