Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements. Human evidence for its benefits is very limited, and it can raise heart rate and blood pressure and cause anxiety, so it should be used with caution and is not recommended for people with heart conditions, anxiety, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

About Ferumoxytol Injection

What Is Ferumoxytol Injection Used For?

Brand name: Feraheme

Ferumoxytol injection is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in adults who cannot tolerate oral iron, have not responded well to oral iron, or who have chronic kidney disease (CKD). It delivers iron directly into the bloodstream through an IV infusion.

FeraBright (ferumoxytol injection) has an additional, separate use: it is given before MRI scans to improve the visibility of brain lesions on T1-weighted MRI images. This imaging use is specific to FeraBright and is not shared by all ferumoxytol products.
