Here's the gist with Targiniq ER (oxycodone plus naloxone) and rauwolscine. Both opioids and stimulant alkaloids like rauwolscine can, in theory, make the brain a little more prone to seizures. The concern is that stacking the two might nudge that risk up, especially at higher doses or in someone already prone to seizures.

I want to be honest about the strength here: this is based only on an animal lab study (rauwolscine lowered the seizure threshold in mice given a convulsant drug). There's no solid human proof of this exact combo. Still, rauwolscine also raises heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety, which isn't a great match with an opioid. Please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Theoretically, rauwolscine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the gist with Targiniq ER (oxycodone plus naloxone) and rauwolscine. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help process oxycodone. Lab studies on yohimbine, a close cousin of rauwolscine, suggest it can slow that enzyme down. So in theory, pairing the two could let a bit more oxycodone build up than usual, which might mean more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, or slowed breathing.

I'll be honest though, this is a theoretical concern based on test-tube data, not real patient cases, so I wouldn't panic. Still, oxycodone is a strong opioid, and rauwolscine itself revs up your heart rate and blood pressure, which is its own worry. Before combining them, please check with your doctor or pharmacist.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements.
