Hydrochlorothiazide, Triamterene falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Rehmannia interacts with.

Theoretically, rehmannia might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research shows that rehmannia may have hypotensive effects. Laboratory research shows that formulations of dried and processed rehmannia root inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE).

Dyazide and Maxzide combine two water pills, hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene, that you take to lower blood pressure. The concern here is simple addition. In animal and lab studies, rehmannia seemed to nudge blood pressure down on its own, partly by acting a bit like an ACE inhibitor. So if you pair it with a medicine that already lowers your pressure, the two could add up.

If your pressure drops too far, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, or faint when standing, especially since this combo also makes you lose fluid. I'll be honest, this is theoretical and comes only from test-tube and animal work, not people. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding rehmannia, and check your blood pressure at home if you do.
