Indapamide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Rehmannia interacts with.

Theoretically, rehmannia might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research shows that rehmannia may have hypotensive effects. Laboratory research shows that formulations of dried and processed rehmannia root inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE).

Here's the simple version: indapamide is a water pill that already works to lower your blood pressure. Rehmannia, in lab dishes and animal studies, seems to nudge blood pressure downward too (partly by acting a little like an ACE inhibitor). So if you stack the two, the worry is that they could add up and push your pressure too low.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint, especially when you stand up quickly. I want to be straight with you though: this is theoretical, based only on lab and animal research, not on people. It's not a sure thing. Still, since both affect blood pressure, check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your indapamide on your own.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
