A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.

Enoxaparin (Lovenox) is already a blood thinner, so its whole job is to slow down clotting. The concern here is simple: reishi may have a mild blood-thinning effect of its own, and stacking the two could add up. So this isn't about reishi changing how your body processes enoxaparin; it's more about a double dose of the same direction, which could mean more bleeding risk.

Honestly, the evidence is pretty soft. It comes from lab and animal work, and human data suggests that around 1.5 grams a day didn't really affect platelets, while 3 grams a day might. So small or occasional amounts likely matter little, but higher supplement doses are where I'd be cautious. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that won't stop, and please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Enoxaparin Injection

What Is Enoxaparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Lovenox

Enoxaparin injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the legs — in people having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement surgery, and in hospitalized patients who are largely immobile due to acute illness. It is also used to treat acute DVT, with or without a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs), both in the hospital and at home.

It is also used alongside aspirin to reduce dangerous complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack, and to treat acute STEMI (a severe type of heart attack involving full blockage of a coronary artery) in patients who receive clot-dissolving therapy or undergo a procedure to open the blocked artery (PCI).
