Here's the simple version: Entresto (sacubitril/valsartan) already lowers your blood pressure as part of how it helps your heart. Saffron, when taken as a concentrated supplement, may nudge blood pressure down a little too. Put them together and those effects could add up, leaving you a bit lower than expected.

What you might notice is feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. I'll be honest with you though, this is mostly a theoretical concern based on animal and limited human data, not strong proof. The pinch of saffron you'd use in cooking is very unlikely to matter. If you're considering a daily saffron supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your blood pressure.

Saffron is a costly spice that has shown promise in early studies for mild-to-moderate depression and some mood and PMS symptoms, but most research uses small trials, so results are not definitive. What Is Valsartan and Sacubitril Used For?

Brand name: Entresto

Sacubitril and valsartan is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure in adult patients with chronic heart failure. The benefit is most clearly seen in patients whose heart pumps with a lower-than-normal ejection fraction (the percentage of blood the heart pushes out with each beat).

It is also approved to treat symptomatic heart failure with reduced left ventricular function in children aged 1 year and older. In pediatric patients, it lowers a blood marker of heart stress (NT-proBNP) and is expected to improve heart outcomes.
