Apomorphine Hydrochloride brand name: Kynmobi.
Sesame has a minor interaction with Apomorphine Hydrochloride. Theoretically, sesame might alter the transport of P-glycoprotein substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Apomorphine Hydrochloride
Apomorphine Hydrochloride falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Sesame interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that sesamin, a constituent of sesame, can inhibit the multi-drug transporter protein, P-glycoprotein. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: a compound in sesame called sesamin showed, in test-tube studies, that it can block a transport pump called P-glycoprotein. Your apomorphine (Kynmobi) is handled in part by that same pump. In theory, if the pump slows down, a bit more apomorphine could stay around, which might nudge up its side effects like nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness when standing, drowsiness, or extra involuntary movements.
The big picture, though, is reassurance. This has only been seen in lab dishes, never in actual people, and it's rated a minor interaction. Eating sesame seeds, tahini, or sesame oil in normal food amounts is very unlikely to cause any problem. If you're considering concentrated sesame lignan supplements, just run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.
- LikelyWell-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.
- AHigh-quality meta-analysis (quantitative systematic review).
- BCase-control study.
- CConsensus.
- DAnecdotal evidence.

About Sesame
What is Sesame?
- Heart and cholesterol health
- Blood pressure support
- Source of healthy fats and minerals
- Skin and hair care (topical oil)
- Antioxidant support
- Cooking and nutrition
Sesame is a nutritious seed and oil widely used in cooking and traditional medicine, and it provides healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidant compounds called lignans. Some early research suggests sesame may modestly help with cholesterol and blood pressure, but the evidence is limited. Sesame is also a common, sometimes serious, food allergen, so people with seed allergies should be careful.
