Oseni combines two diabetes medicines: alogliptin and pioglitazone. Both work to bring your blood sugar down. The concern here is purely theoretical, based on how Solomon's Seal might behave in the body. Some lab and animal work hints that this herb could have mild blood-sugar-lowering activity of its own. If that's true, stacking it on top of Oseni could, in theory, push your numbers a little lower than expected.

That could mean signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. To be clear, this is not proven in people, so I wouldn't panic. If you do take both, just keep an eye on your glucose readings and let your pharmacist or doctor know before starting the herb.
