Here's the gist with troglitazone, a diabetes medicine that helps your body use insulin better and bring blood sugar down. The concern with Solomon's Seal is fairly simple: if the herb has any blood-sugar-lowering activity of its own, layering it on top of your medication could push your glucose too low. Signs to watch for would be shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or feeling unusually weak.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. This interaction is theoretical, based on how the compounds in Solomon's Seal behave in lab and animal work, not real patient studies.
