Here's the gist if you take Tresiba (insulin degludec) for your diabetes and you're curious about Solomon's Seal. Tresiba is your long-acting background insulin, and it already does one main job well: it lowers blood sugar steadily over the day. The concern on file is that Solomon's Seal might add to that blood-sugar-lowering effect, so the two together could push your numbers down further than expected.

I want to be honest about how strong this is: it's a theoretical caution drawn from lab and animal work, not from real human studies, so it may not amount to much in practice. Still, if you ever feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or unusually hungry, those can be signs of low blood sugar. What Is Insulin Degludec (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tresiba

Insulin degludec (brand name Tresiba) is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults and children 1 year of age and older who have diabetes mellitus — including both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous complication of diabetes that requires a different type of treatment). In people with type 1 diabetes, insulin degludec must always be used together with a short-acting insulin.
