Strontium + Methyltestosterone
Methyltestosterone brand names: Metandren, Android 10, Oreton, Testred, Methitest, and others.
Strontium has a moderate interaction with Methyltestosterone. Theoretically, androgens might reduce the excretion of strontium, potentially increasing its effects and adverse effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANDROGENS
Why this applies to Methyltestosterone
Methyltestosterone falls under ANDROGENS — the group Strontium interacts with.
A small clinical study suggests that treatment with androgens such as testosterone, nandrolone, oxandrolone, and oxymetholone for 5-6 weeks might decrease urinary strontium excretion. The clinical significance of this interaction is unknown.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist of it: methyltestosterone is an androgen, and the concern on file is that androgens like this one may cause your kidneys to flush out less strontium. If your body holds onto more strontium, you could see more of strontium's own effects, including the heart-related safety worries that come with concentrated strontium products. To be clear, this isn't about methyltestosterone changing or weakening, it's about strontium building up.
I want to be honest with you, though: this is a theoretical concern based mostly on lab work and one small study, so we really don't know how much it matters in real life. Still, since strontium and androgens both carry their own cardiovascular cautions, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before pairing them.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.
- LikelyWell-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Methyltestosterone page
“Liver strain dominates this list, and it warrants real wariness before pairing supplements with methyltestosterone (Android, Testred, Methitest). This oral hormone is already hard on the liver by itself, and 38 of the 73 supplement ingredients on file carry their own liver toxicity, stacking injury on the same organ.”

About Strontium
What is Strontium?
- Bone health and osteoporosis
- Reducing fracture risk
- Tooth sensitivity (in some toothpastes)
- Supporting bone density
Strontium is a mineral that has been studied mainly for bone health and osteoporosis. The prescription form (strontium ranelate) showed benefit for fracture risk but carries serious heart-related safety concerns, while the over-the-counter supplement form (strontium citrate) has much less evidence. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using it, especially if you have heart disease or are at risk for blood clots.
