A small clinical study suggests that treatment with estrogens for 5-6 weeks might decrease urinary strontium excretion. The clinical significance of this interaction is unknown.

Here's the thing to understand about pairing strontium with your Bijuva (estradiol and progesterone): the concern isn't about your hormones changing. It's the other way around. A small study hinted that taking estrogen for several weeks may make your kidneys hold onto more strontium instead of flushing it out in your urine. In plain terms, the strontium could build up a bit more in your body.

I want to be honest that this is shaky evidence, mostly lab-based, and we genuinely don't know if it matters in real life. Since strontium supplements carry their own heart and clot concerns, and estrogen does too, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them rather than worrying. Don't change either one on your own.

Strontium is a mineral that has been studied mainly for bone health and osteoporosis.
