Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Codeine Phosphate, Magnesium Hydroxide falls under ANTACIDS — the group Strontium interacts with.

Antacids can reduce the absorption of strontium, potentially decreasing its effectiveness.
Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide can reduce absorption of strontium ranelate by 20% to 25%. Calcium can reduce its absorption to 60% to 70%. Avoid taking antacids within 2 hours of a dose of strontium ranelate. This interaction has also been reported with orally-administered radioactive strontium-85. It will likely also occur with other forms of strontium.

Here's the key thing to know: this combo product (Ascriptin Codeine #2) contains aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, which work as antacids. Those antacid ingredients are exactly what can interfere with strontium. When you take them close together, the aluminum and magnesium grab onto the strontium in your gut and block some of it from being absorbed, by roughly 20% to 25%. So this isn't about the strontium hurting you, it's about your strontium working less well for your bones.

The simple fix is timing. Try to separate your strontium supplement from this medication by at least 2 hours. Since this product also contains aspirin and codeine for pain, please run the full plan by your pharmacist or doctor so everything is spaced and dosed safely.
