Propylthiouracil, PTU falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Testolone interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive hepatotoxic effects.
In a case report, a 52-year-old male was diagnosed with liver injury thought to be related to the use of products containing testolone. Also, elevated liver enzymes were commonly reported in a dose escalation study of testolone.

Here's the concern with pairing these two. Propylthiouracil (PTU) is already known to be tough on the liver, and in rare cases it can cause serious liver injury. Testolone (RAD-140) has its own track record of raising liver enzymes and has been tied to liver damage in case reports. Putting both together could mean a bigger combined hit to your liver, more than either one alone.

This isn't a case where one changes how the other is broken down. It's simply two liver stressors stacking up. Watch for warning signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, nausea, or unusual tiredness. Honestly, Testolone is an unapproved, illegally sold product I'd steer clear of entirely. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything with PTU.

What Is Propylthiouracil Used For?

Brand name: Propylthiouracil

Propylthiouracil tablets are used to treat hyperthyroidism — a condition where the thyroid gland produces too much hormone. It is specifically approved for patients with Graves' disease or toxic multinodular goiter who cannot tolerate methimazole and for whom surgery or radioactive iodine therapy is not a suitable option.

Propylthiouracil is also used to reduce hyperthyroid symptoms before a patient undergoes thyroid surgery (thyroidectomy) or radioactive iodine therapy, again in patients who cannot tolerate methimazole. It may also be the preferred antithyroid drug during or just before the first trimester of pregnancy.
