IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Hyaluronidase, Rituximab
Hyaluronidase, Rituximab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Thuja interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the idea behind this one. Your Rituxan Hycela works by calming and clearing certain immune cells to fight lymphoma or leukemia. Thuja, on the other hand, is thought to do the opposite and gently rev the immune system up. On paper, those two goals push against each other, so the worry is that thuja could theoretically chip away at how well your rituximab does its job.
I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical concern based on how thuja behaves in lab studies, not real patients on this exact drug. There's no good human proof it actually weakens cancer treatment. Still, when you're being treated for something this serious, I wouldn't gamble. Please run any thuja product by your oncology team or pharmacist first.

Thuja, also called northern white cedar or arborvitae, is a tree whose leaf and oil have a long history in folk and homeopathic medicine, especially for warts and immune support. Talk with a pharmacist or doctor before using it, and avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
