Pindolol falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Thuja interacts with.

Thuja products can contains significant amounts of thujone, a neurotoxin. Theoretically, patients taking drugs that lower the seizure threshold might be at greater risk of seizure if they also take thuja. Advise patients taking these drugs to avoid thuja products. Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Here's the gist with Thuja and pindolol. This isn't about how your body processes the pindolol itself. Instead, undiluted Thuja products can contain thujone, a compound that, in large amounts, may make the brain more prone to seizures. Pindolol sits on a long list of medicines that can also nudge the seizure threshold a bit lower, so the worry is that combining the two might add up and slightly raise seizure risk.

I want to be honest: this concern is mostly theoretical and based on weak, anecdotal evidence, not solid human studies. Still, since concentrated Thuja oil can be genuinely toxic, the safe move is to skip Thuja supplements while you're on pindolol. Please run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.
