Clinical research shows that some casein peptides, including the lactotripeptides isoleucine-proline-proline (IPP) and valine-proline-proline (VPP), can modestly reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension.

Here's the simple version. Pindolol already lowers your blood pressure and slows your heart rate. Casein peptides, the milk-protein fragments sold for mild blood pressure support, may nudge your pressure down a little too, partly by blocking the same ACE enzyme that other blood pressure medicines target. Stack those two gentle pushes together and your reading could dip more than you expect.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, unusually tired, or faint when you stand up quickly. This isn't a dangerous reaction for most people, and the blood pressure effect from these peptides is usually modest. Still, before you add a casein peptide supplement, run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your numbers.
