Ponesimod falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, thunder god vine might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the basic idea with Ponvory (ponesimod) and Thunder God Vine. Your body partly clears ponesimod using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. One compound in this herb, triptolide, appears to slow that enzyme down. If it does, ponesimod could clear more slowly and build up a bit, which may mean a stronger effect and a higher chance of side effects like a slow heart rate, headache, dizziness, raised liver enzymes, or higher blood pressure.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is only a theoretical concern seen in lab dishes, not something reported in real people. Still, since ponesimod already needs careful monitoring, please don't combine these without first checking with your neurologist or pharmacist.
