Here's some good news: the malathion you're asking about (brand name Ovide) is a lotion you put on your scalp to kill head lice. It isn't swallowed and it works right on the skin, so it doesn't really mix in your stomach with anything you take by mouth.

The interaction on file is about oral medicines and how foods or supplements can block thyroid hormone from being absorbed. Since malathion lotion isn't an oral drug, that absorption concern doesn't apply here. Just use the lotion as directed and keep it away from your eyes and mouth. If you take thyroid extract or any thyroid pill, that's a separate question, and your pharmacist or doctor can help you time those correctly.
