Here's the simple version. Diutensen is a blood pressure combo that pairs cryptenamine with methyclothiazide (a thiazide water pill). The interaction on file is really about the thyroid extract end of things: when you take thyroid hormone by mouth, other pills and foods in your stomach can grab onto it and keep your body from absorbing it well. That's why prescription thyroid meds are taken on an empty stomach, away from other tablets.

So the practical tip is timing. If you swallow your thyroid extract and your Diutensen at the same moment, you may absorb less of the thyroid hormone and feel sluggish, tired, or cold again. Separating them by a few hours usually solves it. This is a minor, well-recognized issue, so don't worry, just ask your pharmacist how to space your doses.
