Hydrochlorothiazide, Moexipril falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Uzara interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of potassium-depleting diuretics and uzara can increase the risk of cardiac glycoside toxicity due to potassium depletion. Some diuretics that can deplete potassium include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, Hydrodiuril, Microzide), and others.

Here's the thing with Uniretic and Uzara. Uniretic combines hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) with moexipril (an ACE inhibitor). The water pill part can lower your body's potassium over time. Uzara root naturally contains cardiac glycosides, the same kind of heart-active compounds found in drugs like digoxin. When potassium runs low, your heart becomes more sensitive to those glycosides, which can raise the risk of an irregular or dangerous heart rhythm.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds work, not proven cases. Still, since moexipril nudges potassium one way and the diuretic the other, your levels can be unpredictable. I'd skip the Uzara and check with your pharmacist or doctor before trying it. Please don't change your Uniretic on your own.
