Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
MACROLIDE ANTIBIOTICS
Why this applies to Vonoprazan, Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin
Vonoprazan, Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin falls under MACROLIDE ANTIBIOTICS — the group Uzara interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The piece of your Voquezna Triple Pak that matters here is clarithromycin, the macrolide antibiotic. Uzara root naturally contains cardiac glycosides, the same family of compound found in heart drugs like digoxin. Clarithromycin can slow how the body clears these glycosides, so on paper the two together could let those heart-active compounds build up. That raises the theoretical risk of glycoside toxicity, which can show up as nausea, loss of appetite, blurry or yellow-tinged vision, or an irregular or slow heartbeat.
I want to be straight with you: this concern is based on pharmacology, not on strong real-world data, so it is a maybe rather than a sure thing. Since Uzara affects the heart and you would only take it briefly for diarrhea anyway, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.
