Vitex Agnus-castus + Dalbavancin Hydrochloride
Dalbavancin Hydrochloride brand name: Dalvance.
We found no known interaction between Vitex Agnus-castus and Dalbavancin Hydrochloride in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Vitex Agnus-castus and Dalbavancin Hydrochloride
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Dalbavancin Hydrochloride and Vitex Agnus-castus in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Dalbavancin Hydrochloride
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Dalbavancin Hydrochloride is filed under a single classification — antibiotic drugs. Vitex Agnus-castus has documented interactions with 5 drug classes — the most serious being antipsychotic drugs (moderate), contraceptive drugs (moderate) and dopamine agonists (moderate) — and none of Dalbavancin Hydrochloride’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dalbavancin Hydrochloride page
“Everything on the dalbavancin (Dalvance) interaction list points in one direction. No supplement on file makes this IV skin-infection antibiotic dangerous or weaker; instead, dalbavancin can kill the live organisms in probiotic products, so the supplement is the one that loses.”

About Vitex Agnus-castus
What is Vitex Agnus-castus?
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
- Irregular or absent menstrual periods
- Cyclical breast pain (mastalgia)
- Menopause symptoms
- Fertility support
Vitex (chasteberry) is an herbal remedy most often used for PMS and menstrual cycle problems, and the strongest evidence is for easing some PMS symptoms. It is generally well tolerated by many adults, but it can affect hormone-related processes, so anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or has a hormone-sensitive condition should talk with a healthcare professional first.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Vitex Agnus-castus is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Vitex Agnus-castus record says about it on its own.
Vitex Agnus-castus: dosing
There is no single official or proven dose for vitex. Products differ widely in how they are made and how concentrated they are, so the amount per dose varies from one brand to another. Standardized extracts are common, but a universal best dose has not been established. The safest approach is to follow the directions on the product label and not take more than recommended. Because vitex may take several weeks or even a few menstrual cycles before any effect is noticed, it is often used over time.

About Dalbavancin Injection
What Is Dalbavancin Injection Used For?
Brand name: Dalvance
Dalvance (dalbavancin) injection is approved to treat acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI) in adults and children from birth through age 17. These are serious bacterial skin infections that require treatment with an antibacterial given by IV.
It works against specific Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus (both methicillin-susceptible and methicillin-resistant strains, known as MRSA), several Streptococcus species, and vancomycin-susceptible Enterococcus faecalis. It should only be used when one of these susceptible bacteria is proven or strongly suspected to be causing the infection.
