Here's the thing to keep in mind: Vitex (chasteberry) gently nudges your reproductive hormones, mostly by lowering prolactin and shifting your natural hormone balance. Ulipristal (Ella) is an emergency contraceptive that works by hormonal signaling to delay or block the release of an egg. So in theory, anything tinkering with your hormones could work against what Ella is trying to do, possibly making it less reliable at preventing pregnancy.

I'll be honest with you, though: this concern is theoretical, drawn from how Vitex might affect hormones, not from solid studies on Ella specifically. Since emergency contraception is a one-time, time-sensitive deal where you really want it to work, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor rather than rely on guesswork here.
