Aldesleukin (Proleukin) is high-dose immunotherapy for advanced kidney cancer and melanoma, and the drug is itself notoriously hard on the liver and kidneys, so this list earns real wariness. All 42 supplement interactions on file land on those same two organs: 38 ingredients can add liver strain and 6 can add kidney strain. Four are rated major, and two of those are beer and wine, since alcohol compounds the liver injury risk of a drug already pushing that organ hard.

The other two majors affect the kidneys instead, and one of them, asarabacca, is frequently contaminated with aristolochic acid, a compound the FDA considers unsafe outright.
