CoQFusion contains 4 active ingredients, the main one being ubiquinol QH, a reduced form of coenzyme Q10—a naturally occurring compound your cells use for energy production. The other three active ingredients are polyunsaturated fat, unsaturated fat, and monosaturated fat, which help your body absorb the CoQ10.
The softgel capsule also contains several inactive ingredients (D-limonene oil, gelatin, glycerin, purified water, caprylic acid, caramel liquid, and alpha lipoic acid) that serve as the capsule shell and to help deliver the active ingredients.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Coenzyme Q10 in CoQFusion is rated likely effective for treating CoQ10 deficiency. It's rated possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, congestive heart failure (CHF), and diabetic neuropathy.
The evidence we hold doesn't establish it as effective for other uses beyond these.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQFusion is generally well tolerated by most adults when used as directed. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal—appetite suppression, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting—but these occur in less than 1% of people taking it orally, and you can minimize them by splitting doses above 100 mg.
Less commonly, headache, dizziness, insomnia, and skin itching or rash have been reported. Safety during pregnancy isn't well established; there isn't enough reliable data, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Safety while breastfeeding also hasn't been well studied, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it.

The most serious concern is with chemotherapy drugs called alkylating agents—CoQFusion's antioxidant effect may theoretically reduce how well these cancer treatments work by protecting tumor cells from the oxidative stress these drugs rely on to be effective.

Warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner (anticoagulant), is also a Moderate concern. CoQFusion is chemically similar to vitamin K and may reduce warfarin's ability to prevent clots; a small number of case reports describe decreased warfarin effectiveness in people using coenzyme Q10 together.
Blood pressure medications (antihypertensives) carry a Minor interaction risk—CoQFusion may add to their effects and lower your blood pressure further, though study results on this have been mixed.

Ubiquinol QH
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
