Dynamic Biotics Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Dynamic Biotics against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Dynamic Biotics by Stonehenge Health
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Dynamic Biotics contains 18 active ingredients: a probiotic blend of multiple Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains, plus prebiotic fibers (inulin and NutraFlora) that feed the beneficial bacteria. The probiotic strains work together as live microorganisms meant to support your gut, while the prebiotics act as their food source.
You'll also find inactive ingredients like hypromellose (a plant-based capsule material), microcrystalline cellulose, gellan gum, silica, and calcium laurate — these are fillers and binders that hold the capsule together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed and often limited. L. acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, bacterial vaginosis, and Helicobacter pylori infection.
B. bifidum is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections. Inulin is possibly effective for constipation, diabetes, and obesity.
For many of the other probiotic strains in this formula, the evidence is insufficient to rate — we simply don't have strong data yet. Talk to your pharmacist about what you're hoping to address; they can tell you whether the science backs this particular product for your needs.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Most of these probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea have been reported rarely. Inulin commonly causes gas and bloating, especially at higher doses.
Importantly, live probiotics carry a rare but serious concern: in critically ill or severely immunocompromised patients, including premature infants and those with heart defects or weakened immune systems, these bacteria have occasionally entered the bloodstream and caused infections like sepsis. If you're seriously ill, immune-compromised, or caring for a premature infant, talk to your doctor before using this product.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding: B. longum and B. bifidum are rated Possibly Safe during pregnancy; L. acidophilus is rated Possibly Safe during pregnancy (breastfeeding data aren't on file); inulin is rated Likely Safe; and several of the probiotic strains have no safety data on file for pregnancy or lactation. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist before use if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Stop and check with your pharmacist if you take antibiotic drugs — these can kill the live bacteria in this supplement and make it ineffective, and you may need to space the two doses apart. Also flag this product if you take diabetes medications, since inulin may increase the risk of low blood sugar.
For all other medications you're on, use the medication checker below.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Dynamic Biotics may help with certain digestive issues, particularly if you're taking antibiotics or dealing with irritable bowel syndrome, but the evidence is strongest for only a few of its strains. If you're healthy, it's generally well tolerated, though you should expect some gas and bloating as your gut adjusts.
However, if you're seriously ill, have a compromised immune system, or are using antibiotics, check with your pharmacist or doctor first — probiotics aren't right for everyone in those situations.

Dynamic Biotics by Stonehenge Health Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Dynamic Biotics by Stonehenge Health is a multiprobiotic supplement that does interact with medications — specifically antibiotic drugs.
Several of its bacterial strains, including B. longum, L. acidophilus, L. gasseri, and B. bifidum, can be harmed by antibiotics taken at the same time. Since these probiotics contain live organisms, antibiotics may kill a large portion of them and reduce the supplement's effectiveness.
The interaction is rated Moderate.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Inulin, the prebiotic fiber in the blend, carries a Minor interaction with antidiabetes drugs. It may theoretically increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) because research suggests it can improve blood sugar control, though it's unclear whether it actively lowers blood sugar on its own.
We were unable to check several of the probiotic strains in this product — L. plantarum, NutraFlora, L. casei, B. animalis lactis (two strains), L. paracasei, L. rhamnosus (two strains), L. brevis, L. reuteri, B. animalis lactis HN019, L. fermentum, and L. salivarius — because we hold no interaction data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 267 individual medications.
