Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Moderate

Some clinical evidence supports this product's ingredients for its stated purpose, but it isn't conclusive.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Glutamine is generally well tolerated by healthy adults. The most common side effects are digestive: belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, gas, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.

Headache and musculoskeletal pain have also been reported. If you have kidney or liver disease, use this supplement only under medical supervision.

Dizziness and headache are possible but rare; one person experienced dizziness that improved when the dose was cut in half. Two people with bipolar disorder reported mood changes (mania or hypomania) while taking glutamine, so caution applies if you have a history of mood disorders.

Because safety data in pregnancy and while breastfeeding is limited, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this supplement if you're pregnant or nursing.

Formula

Amazing benefits of Amazing Muscle L-Glutamine L-Glutamine is a must-have supplement especially for workouts. Approximately one hour of intense exercise may deplete the body's natural supply of L-Glutamine. This depletion may stress out your body, leading to muscle deterioration. Amazing Muscle L-Glutamine may also help decrease muscle waste, promote muscle growth and repair skeletal muscles. L-Glutamine may also help improve athletic performance, cellular detoxification, boost metabolism and assist in recovery from endurance exercises. L-Glutamine not only supports athletic performance, it also promotes brain health by working as a neurotransmitter to improve memory, focus and concentration.
