Lactoprime Plus contains 12 probiotic ingredients—live beneficial bacteria strains that support your gut flora. The four we could check for interactions are Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium longum, and Lactobacillus acidophilus, each chosen for their effects on digestion and immune function.
The other eight ingredients—Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus paracasei, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus brevis, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus—are also active probiotics, though we hold no interaction data for them. The capsule also contains a small amount of inactive ingredients: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (the capsule shell), water, and L-leucine (a stabilizer to help keep the organisms viable).

Evidence for Lactobacillus acidophilus—one of the four strains we could verify—shows it's possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for IBS and respiratory tract infections.
For the other checked strains and many other conditions these probiotics are marketed for, the evidence we hold either shows insufficient data to judge or possible ineffectiveness. We don't have effectiveness ratings for the eight other ingredients in this blend.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus strains we checked are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. The most common side effects reported with probiotic use are bloating and flatulence, though these haven't been specifically tied to every strain in this product.
Rare cases of infection (bacteremia or sepsis) have occurred in critically ill or severely immunocompromised patients, particularly in very ill infants, but these events are uncommon in healthy people. If you have a weakened immune system, are seriously ill, or are very young or very old, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting this supplement.

Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
