by NusaPure
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic 110 Billion CFU against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Probiotic 110 Billion CFU by NusaPure
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product has 13 probiotic strains designed to support your gut flora. The active ingredients include six Lactobacillus species (plantarum, acidophilus, rhamnosus, brevis, bulgaricus, casei, paracasei, and salivarius), three Bifidobacterium species (animalis lactis, longum, breve, and bifidum), and Streptococcus thermophilus — all common and well-studied beneficial bacteria.
The inactive ingredients are cellulose, organic acacia gum, rice flour, and silica, which help form the capsule and keep everything stable.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for what this product can do is mixed and mostly limited. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum are each possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and L. acidophilus is also possibly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea and bacterial vaginosis.
For most other conditions — including allergic rhinitis, asthma, anxiety, and cognitive decline — the evidence we have is insufficient to say whether these strains work. Several conditions, like atopic disease and sepsis, show possibly ineffective ratings for some of these strains.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
In healthy adults and children, probiotics like these are generally well tolerated. Gastrointestinal side effects — bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea — have been reported but are uncommon.
Because these are live organisms, there is a theoretical risk of infection (bacteremia or sepsis) in people with very weak immune systems, critical illness, recent surgery, or indwelling catheters; those patients should check with their doctor first. For pregnancy, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Streptococcus thermophilus are rated possibly safe; data on the others isn't on file.
Limited safety data exist for lactation across most of these strains, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, double-check your antibiotic medications with your pharmacist or doctor — all six of the checked probiotic strains can theoretically reduce how well antibiotics work if you take them at the same time. The key is separating your doses; your healthcare provider can tell you the right timing.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a multi-strain probiotic that may help with IBS or antibiotic-associated diarrhea if you're generally healthy. If you take antibiotics, you'll need to space out your doses from this product.
People with weakened immune systems, serious illness, or recent surgery should check with their doctor first. Talk it over with your own doctor or pharmacist before you start, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or on other medications.

Lactobacillus acidophilus
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
Bifidobacterium longum
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium longum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. longum.
Since B. longum preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. longum preparations by at least 2 hours.
Lactobacillus bulgaricus
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus delbrueckii with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. delbrueckii.
Lactobacillus delbrueckii preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. delbrueckii preparations by at least two hours.
Bifidobacterium breve
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium breve with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. breve.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.
Bifidobacterium bifidum
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium. bifidum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. bifidum.
