Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Pseudoephedrine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Aconite interacts with.
Aconite and its constituents have stimulant effects due to agonist activity at beta-2-adrenoreceptors. In cardiac muscle, aconite appears to have a positive inotropic effect and increases heart rate and blood pressure. However, some constituents of aconite can reduce heart rate and blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the piece that matters in your combo product: the pseudoephedrine. That's a decongestant that already nudges up your heart rate and blood pressure and can leave you feeling jittery, wired, or unable to sleep. Aconite can act on the heart and blood vessels too, so the worry is that stacking the two could add up and raise the chance of racing heartbeat, palpitations, higher blood pressure, or other heart strain.
I want to be straight with you: this concern comes from lab and animal studies, not solid human trials, so it's more theoretical than proven. But honestly, aconite is a genuinely poisonous plant I'd steer clear of regardless. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with it.
