Nusinersen Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Aconite interacts with.

Theoretically, combining aconite with other antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
Higenamine, a constituent of aconite, is thought to have antiplatelet and antithrombotic effects. In an animal model of thrombosis, higenamine inhibited platelet aggregation and reduced the size of thrombus formation.

Here's the honest picture for Spinraza (nusinersen). The interaction on file flags aconite alongside blood thinners, because one of aconite's compounds (higenamine) showed some clot-slowing, platelet-blocking activity in lab and animal studies. That's weak, theoretical evidence, not something proven in people.

The catch is that nusinersen isn't really a blood thinner. It's given by spinal (intrathecal) injection to boost a protein your nerves and muscles need. The realistic bleeding concern with Spinraza is actually around the lumbar puncture itself, since a bruise or bleed near the spine matters. Because aconite is genuinely toxic and unpredictable, I'd avoid it and check with your doctor or pharmacist before any procedure.

Brand name: Spinraza

Spinraza (nusinersen) is used to treat spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) — a genetic disease that causes progressive muscle weakness by reducing the body's ability to make a protein called SMN (survival motor neuron). Spinraza is approved for pediatric and adult patients with SMA.

Spinraza is given by intrathecal injection — directly into the fluid surrounding the spinal cord — so the medicine can reach the central nervous system where it's needed most.
