Chlorpheniramine, Phenylephrine, Phenylpropanolamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Aegeline interacts with.

Aegeline inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) activity in vitro. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. Theoretically, aegeline may increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4. Some drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others. Use aegeline cautiously or avoid in patients taking these drugs.

Here's the short version: this combination cold-and-allergy product (chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine, and phenylpropanolamine) is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In test-tube studies, aegeline appears to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let a little more of these ingredients build up, which might nudge up side effects like drowsiness and dry mouth from the antihistamine, or jitteriness, a faster heartbeat, and higher blood pressure from the decongestants.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's only been seen in lab studies, never reported in real people, so it's rated minor. The bigger concern is aegeline itself, since it has been tied to serious liver injury and regulators have warned against it. I'd steer clear of it and check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything.
